Description
This is a nice, mostly red, uncirculated
“One Centavo”
from the
“Republic of the Philippines”
. It was struck at the Manila mint in 1963 during the Presidency of Diosdado Macapagal.
This type
“One Centavo”
was only struck with 4 dates, 1958, 1960, 1962 and 1963. Then the old
“Centavo”
denomination that dated back to Spanish Colonial days, finally went away. This was the last
“Centavo”
. It was replaced by the much smaller, aluminum
“Sentimo”
in 1967.
Weight: 3.11 Gram, 19 Millimeter, Bronze. Mintage: 130,000,000.

Not a rare coin, and it has its share of marks and scratches. But it is still a beautiful almost full red and it is the last date. As grading is subjective, please see the pictures and judge for yourself.
