    An unproduced screenplay adaptation of Ben Hecht's short story, "The Shadow," in which the magician Sarastro seeks vengeance against his brother for the having taken his wife. Wikipedia attributes this script to Australian-born screenwriter and playwright Ivan Goff and his frequent collaborator Ben Roberts. While it generated interest, particularly on the part of Warner Bros., it didn't see production. Both Goff and Roberts enjoyed long, prolific careers as screen and television writers.
