This listing is for a brand new piano bench cushion, measuring 14" x 30", with 1" thick foam padding. Material is black velvet. Attractive tufted design with piped edging, the cushion attaches to your piano bench via 3 sets of sewn in ties. The cushion is reversible.
Upgraded material:
Setting out to design a high-end piano bench cushion, this piano bench pad features an upgraded velvet material. Velvet is known for some its soft comfortable feel, and it's elegant sheen. Other piano bench cushions will come in velour, which is a inexpensive fabric designed to mimic velvet.
Quality Foam Padding:
Continuing with the desire for quality, this cushion uses a 1" thick foam pad, with a higher foam density for added comfort and stability. The foam padding is the most expensive part of the cushion, and competing cushions cut costs by using a lighter, less dense foam. This makes it soft (almost pillow-like), but also means the foam compresses to the point that the pianist loses most of the foam padding. This bench pad balances comfort without compressing too much (it uses the same foam padding you'll find as the base of foam mattresses, or in furniture chairs, benches, stools, etc.).
