Rob Salinger (Moore) works as a television reporter and his wife Micki (Reinking) is a lawyer who is having difficulty getting pregnant, to the chagrin of Rob. While working, Rob meets a cellist Maude (Irving), who he begins dating, without mentioning his wife. She soon becomes pregnant, as well as his current wife and he ends up marrying Maude as well. To hide his bigamy, he uses work as an excuse to spend days with one woman and nights with another. The women eventually find out about each other as they go into labor at the same time and are at the same hospital, on the same floor.
Self wrappers. Title page integral with front wrapper is present, dated March 7, 1984, with a credit for screenwriter Jonathan Reynolds. 127 leaves, with last page of text numbered 122. Later generation photocopy, with revision pages throughout, dated variously between March 6, 1984 and March 22, 1984. Pages Very Good plus, wrapper missing bound with two gold brads.
