    Description

    Special Raincoat-Tent SPP-1 "Rain"
    Special Cloak-Tent (SPP) - only “field” units of the
    Special Forces
    ,
    KGB
    and
    Airborne Forces intelligence
    were supplied. Rare enough now. SPP-1 was a hybrid of a raincoat tent and an air mattress.
    Instruction is not included
    SPP-1 "Rain" advantages
    :
    - complete impermeability;
    -used as a raincoat or (cape);
    -used as a sleeping bag - the inflated part protects the fighter from cold and damp ground;
    -used as a stretcher;
    -the inflatable cover is used as a pillow and as a bucket for water;
    -the possibility of using it as an additional floating craft (raft) for ferrying weapons and equipment;
    -compact awning 2000x2000 cm;
    - on one side of the SPP of a protective color - for camouflage in the summer, and on the inside of a white color - for camouflage against a snowy background
    - weight - 1.9 kg;
    -the possibility of building a tent or yurt for 1 person! (2 pcs-2 people, 4 pcs-for 6 people!, ...)
    According to operators' reviews (from the practice of use) SPP-1 "Rain"
    - slept at the exits - in December / February (forest, mountains, sand).
    - protects from wind and snow
    - if you zip up / lace up (that is, create something like a cocoon) - a kind of cocoon / greenhouse is created (breathed "there" - and you sit warm) About how not to "stir up" is a separate topic. even at close to 0 temperature
    - thanks to the air gap - let's just say ... it prevents the kidneys from getting cold (winter, off-season)
    - under conditions of use in "sands" - I don't remember any creeping muck climbing on it (which cannot be said about simple sleeping bags) - maybe the bastards are afraid of the smell of rubber (?)
    - in the same place, in the sands - they tried to make (though at the base) - alembic - a la camel thorn in the SPP, it was hermetically "battened down" and in the sun - there was still a small condensation of moisture.
    - at reconnaissance exits, they made a shuttle from the SPP (they covered the frame), rafts, and from several sewn together - a tent with an inflated floor.
    About "protection" from punctures - already written - elementary - an ordinary raincoat-tent under the SPP - and there will be happiness (mountains, forest).
    Rafting on it is normal (about 20 kilometers - I kept it)
    The cover can be used:
    - like a bucket (!)
    - you can sit on it (if inflated) like on a pillow during the day and lie in ambush (especially in wet weather - under the chest), it is - just - a pillow
    - it can be used as a sniper roller
    - the cover can be used when equipping a stash or a sealed bookmark
