This Firm Blade Skiver Tool was manufactured by the Firm Blade Company of Portland, Oregon, in 1947. The razor has a wooden ball on the bottom of the handle. It uses one-half of a split Gillette-type double-edge blade. The razor tool comes in its original mailing box with a packet of new Firm Blades and an instruction booklet. It is in great condition, almost new. A skiver is used to trim sheepskin or leather. It is designed very similar to the Firm blade Safety Razor that I currently have on eBay.
