Revised Draft script for the 1977 film, here under a working title, "The Heretic." Illegible name in holograph ink on one page.
Dr. Gene Tuskin (Fletcher) works with troubled children, perhaps none more troubled than Regan MacNeil (Blair), who suffers from bad dreams and repressed memories of demonic possession. Dr. Tuskin's hypnotism reveals that the demon, Pazuzu, still lurks within. Meanwhile, Father Philip (Burton) investigates the death of Father Merrin (Sydow), the priest who died during an exorcism on Regan. His investigation leads to Africa, where he locates another recipient of Merrin's exorcising, and learns something fascinating and terrible about locusts.
Sequel to William Friedkin's "The Exorcist" (1973), and set four years later. Second of five "Exorcist" films.
Set in Georgetown, Washington, DC, shot on location in Arizona and New York.
