Nice Pair of Original Antique WWI Wool Officer's Privately Made Uniform Pants
    DESCRIPTION:
Scans show them all….very nice WWI wool officer's uniform pants.
Great looking, WWI style officer's uniform pants with "riding breeches look", having baggy seat, wide puffy hips, button fly, padded inner thighs, and lace-up ankles/calves. All similar to typical WWI style, but privately contracted and tailored. Front and rear pockets. Most of the buttons are there, both on the fly and on the ankles. All lacing holes on the lower leggings are there. This pair appears to have been used.
In very good, original condition, amazing for a 100 year old wool item that has been used. All seams and stitching is tight and intact. A bit of moth damage, but all is below the leg/ankle buttons on the legs. None above. Would be covered by high boots or I believe most of it could be repaired.
No size shown, but waist measures about 33" and length is about 36" from waist to bottom of legs (seems long, but they wore them high!). Wool has really nice feel to it. Not as rough or coarse as issue enlisted man's pants, and much higher quality. These would look great for any early collection or display item, and nice condition for the age.
Uniform pants are a scarce uniform accessory item, especially officer's pants.
    Particularly nice, particularly scarce.
