A young pessimistic woman who is a communist also works as a bartender and gets married to a conservative young man who works at a Chicago publishing house. At their wedding, an old man asks to kiss Rita and when he does, his soul changes places with her and now Peter must see beyond the physical to the beautiful soul underneath for the old man to kiss Rita again and return to his own cancer-ridden body.
    Set in New York, shot on location in Chicago, and Highland Park, Illinois and Jamaica.
