    Description

Sometimes you just want to admire a stein.  This Texas Sesquicentennial (1836-1986) Stein is one of those.  Although it's purpose is a beer stein, you almost hate to mess it up with beer - no matter if it is the finest brew!  This stein provides a classic scene of Texas: roping longhorns, and celebrating 150 years of Texas-German Heritage, superimposed over a Texas-shaped background, with TEXAS emblazoned across the state (look carefully for the letters).  This superb beer stein, quality-made by Gerz in 1986, is one of a production of 5000, commissioned to commemorate 150 years of Texas-German Heritage.  It is in perfect, unused condition - no scratches, chips, cracks or fading - only displayed in a glass-enclosed cabinet.  A hefty .5 L stoneware glazed stein, measuring 10"' tall and 4" across at the base, it's brown in color with tan raised relief accents on the top and bottom, and sports a ceramic Texas boot on top and a pewter pistol thumb grip attached to the pewter lid.  This stein is full of Texas pride, and one you'll want to show off on a shelf, or fill it with Lone Star.  It comes from a smoke free, pet free home.  Texan or not, you'll be pleased to own it.  Thanks for checking it out.      123
