    Description

Original vintage 1930s / 1940s German Die Schatulle newspaper holder stick with magazine. Marked D.R.G.M. (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster - a patent marking) on the inside. It is
complete and working. These were used at restaurants, cafes and newspaper stands. Basically it makes it easier to hold the newspaper. Even today, in some European restaurants, there will be various papers hanging on the wall mounted in similar holders. There is some chips to the paint. It comes with a November 1939 issue of Wild und Hund (hunting and outdoor) magazine. The magazine has some discoloration and minor wear. The newspaper stick measures 20 3/8" long. See photos for condition. Unfortunately, shipping has to be set higher because of the length.
