    Description

Knife or letter opener collectors - pay attention!
Available is a rather unique souvenir knife or perhaps a letter opener from Mexico.  The collective thought on this item is that it is a horn handle with some type of very thin bone blade, possibly ox bone.
As you can see it is dated
    1915
and it is from Juarez, Mexico.  The artwork and words on the blade are hand drawn, not carved.  The words on top of Juarez, Nome Olvides, translates, we think, to Do Not Forget Me.  The blade also has a beautifully drawn flower with stem and leaves.  A herringbone pattern goes down the front top of the blade to the tip.
With the ring the knife is a tad over 11" long. Blade is just under 2" wide at widest part.
The blade has chips and the point is gone.
