VINTAGE HP Child's? LEATHER COIN PURSE Made in Mexico SIESTA MAN -HORSE -CACTUS

Description

So popular in the 50's and 60's, the Mexican Folk Art image of a Mexican Man during Siesta was used on everything from Photo Albums to vintage fabric.  This small leather coin purse, most likely a souvenir purchased to bring back memories of a wonderful trip, displays non-identical hand painted images: One side reads Hecho en Mexico (Made in Mexico) and is paired with his image (large yellow sombrero) leaning against a rock? beside a cactus; the reverse is a colorful painting of the same gentleman on a bucking horse with cactus and mountain in the background. Purse is stitched together with black leather and is nicely lined.  Top zipper opens and closes very smoothly.  A bit of natural paint wear does not detract from this wonderful little souvenir great for use or perfect for a special collection!
