WWI Framed Uniform Relic ID'd to MAJ Harrison C. Browne, First Infantry Division

This is an interesting piece of uniform.  I obtained this relic that is attributed to MAJ Harrison C. Browne (1918) as part of a grouping of items belonging to him.  These pants were however in extremely poor condition and someone had deconstructed the pants to try and repair them, I assume.  The pants pieces were left in a bag and then badly moth eaten.  I decided to try and save pieces of the trousers to keep his memory alive.  The lineage of the uniform piece was that the US Army Center for Military History (CMH) sold off excess stock of uniforms at auction in the late 1990's.  Four pallets of WWII uniforms were purchased by a gun store in Illinois and they stored them in an attic as they slowly sold them off.  These pieces were within that collection.  So I am not sure if CMH had tried to repair the trousers or not or if it was done later.  The trousers are from the WWI era.
MAJ Harrison C. Browne entered service on 28 January 1910 as a Coast Artillery Officer.  Eventually he rose to the rank of Captain while he was assigned to a Machine gun Company 16th Infantry Regiment, First Infantry Division.  He served through WWI with the First Infantry Division rising to the rank of Major.  He would eventually rise to the rank of Colonel and would serve as the Chief of Staff of the Philippine Department under General MacArthur.  He was captured along with most of the Soldiers serving in the Philippines and serve the duration of WWII as a prisoner.
What are you getting in this auction: the portion of pants within the frame are from his collection of items.  Additionally there will be several reprinted pages of background information relating to MAJ Browne's service.  The relic portion of the trousers and picture are professionally framed and include a description on the back along with a reprinted photo of him just prior to WWII.
